Nella, guest satisfaction, was such a joy and put together a special package of resources so we could explore the island on our own. James was super patient at the front desk with all our questions and even spent a hour one evening sharing about Bonaire in detail. Anemeke waited on us many a lunch and always took time see how we were doing and how our day was even when she wasn’t our waitress. Ricardo chatted about why breakfast usually doesn’t have bananas which we love, then surprised us with bananas he bought for us locally. Poppy is the kind wizard who knows all things dive shop related, quite a resource. The dive guide Crystal even took time to help the newer dive improve their air consumption. He took exceptional care of the group and made everyone better divers. Carlos, a dive instructor, taught three of our group their Advanced Diving certification. The staff was wonderful and treated us like family. Our family and friends stayed at Divi Flamingo for Spring Break 2023. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a resort with quite a few amenities close to the action.… If booking this resort, the kitchenette rooms offer use of the resort laundry (one washer/one dryer) open 24:7. Also, we hit the local grocery stores and as great as the restaurants were in and around the resort, on the last day I wished we had eaten more from the supermarkets. A few things: we had a tight layover and rough weather on the way in and our luggage ended up being a few days behind. There was confusion about repairing the tire and the onsite agent saved the day. We had gotten a car for the week with insurance and had a flat tire upon return to the resort. One nice feature of the resort was the Hertz office. There were two great restaurants immediately outside the resort, one for sushi and the other for charcuterie. There is a cruise ship terminal almost next door to the resort, we were told that during Jan-March there is a ship almost every day and then it lessens starting in April. The snorkeling and beach/dock lounging areas were wonderful. The staff were friendly and accommodating and any issues we had were quickly resolved. What we enjoyed about it was the close access to the downtown shopping and restaurants. I would say that this is a great choice for snorkelers and divers. There was a group of six couples/families that we were with. We stayed for a week at the Divi Flamingo. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. As our flight back home was in the late evening and checkout time is 10am we were able to have a shower in the fitness centre ,late afternoon which is most welcome. We used the swimmming pool (one nearest reception ) which is a reasonable temperature with plenty of sun beds and it’s near a lovely tropical garden. There is the house reef right in front of the hotel which is very convenient for a snorkel. This restaurant has a nice atmosphere especially in the evening. We had 2 evening meals here which were nice and tasty. The Chibi Chibi restaurant is the small one which is not open every day. We had the Asian buffet one evening which was very good. We had the buffet breakfast which was fine with plenty of choice. If you have large suitcases you have to unload them and store them away to give you room to move around. The room had 2 beds and a nice bathroom ,but the room is quite narrow. It faces west so great view of the sunset Stayed 4 nights. Stayed here in the rooms which are right on the rocky beach.
